Rachael Ray Furniture Collection Comes to Rapid City
Freed’s Fine Furnishings has proudly launched Rachael Ray’s home furnishings in our newly remodeled showroom. Yes, the chef, turned talk show host, turned pet food magnate also has a line of home furnishings. It is phenomenal. The line features living room upholstery (sofas, sectionals, chairs, and ottomans) and numerous hardwood products (dining tables and chairs, entertainment stands, bedroom furniture, occasional tables, bars, kitchen islands, and more). Our Merchandising Team at Freed’s is crazy about Rachael Ray’s furnishings because each piece is incredibly beautiful, but also exceptionally functional, adding a whole new level of value to the line. Rachael Ray also has a heavy hand in ensuring the design of the furniture reflects her lifestyle by developing three, distinct looks: Soho, Highline and Upstate.
New York is home for Rachael Ray, which is where her inspiration comes from. The collection Freed’s features the most from is her Highline collection. The High Line is a famous park in Manhattan that has been built into an old, elevated, rail line. The design elements that transcend from this area of Manhattan include contemporary, high-end looks with a bit of industrial flair. The Highline collection is full of soft creams and grays, brushed nickel hardware, geometric prints, and feels ultra-cool and ultra-sleek. It also packs a little glam with metallic printed fabrics and mirrored glass accents. A knockout piece from the Highline collection is the kitchen island, featuring a two-inch butcher block top, sitting area for two, wine storage, and drawer space.
Rachael’s second collection draws inspiration from another area of Manhattan: a neighborhood called Soho. The Soho collection is fresh, spunky, and a touch mid-century modern. The fabrics incorporate bright and bold colors in pinks, blues, yellows and oranges, set in varied patterns. The wood tones are straight from the 1960s – rich browns with gold accents. The home-run piece from this collection is Rachael Ray’s entertaining bar. Rachael obviously loves to cook and entertain and the Soho bar reflects that. It looks sleek from the outside but the front turns to reveal a storage console ideal for holding every cocktail tool you can imagine. It looks modern-day enough for your living room but is something Don and Betty Draper would also be proud to showcase.
The Upstate Collection completes Rachael Ray’s third look. Drawing inspiration from where she grew up in Upstate New York state, the Upstate collection looks like it is coming from a high-end, cozy, traditional lodge. All wood that makes up the beautiful bedroom, dining, and entertaining pieces is a rich mahogany look that feels very regal and polished. The pieces are large and fill a space perfectly. Fabrics from the Upstate collection are truly extraordinary. They include warm earthy tones that make you want to cuddle up with a mug of cocoa by the fire. One exceptionally interesting piece from the Upstate Collection is the home office chest. When closed, it looks like a fairly ordinary chest, but the top drops down to provide a writing space and the top flips up to reveal a magnetic strip to hold notes and pictures. When open, a storage area complete with mail sorting cubbies is revealed. Again, it’s an exceptionally functional piece that has major look.
What we are most excited about with the Rachael Ray line is that it adds a brand new look to Freed’s Fine Furnishings. We strive to provide the best, most on-trend and functional furniture for our customers and believe we are achieving it with this line. Even if you aren’t a Rachael Ray fan, the furniture stands on its own. We hope you have a chance to stop in and see the Rachael Ray home furnishings line at Freed’s Fine Furnishings for yourself. We think there is only one fitting word to describe it, “Yum-o!”
